With its 1,000 sq.m, Djanam Sky Club Premium is located on the top floor of the iconic Hotel Rodina — until recently the tallest building in Bulgaria. It is a new-generation venue, combining the atmosphere of a refined restaurant with the possibility of a club experience later in the evening.
The height of the building and the unconventional functional fusion proved to be the greatest challenges in realising the project.
The scope of the project covers a complete renovation of the landmark Panorama restaurant, spanning 1,000 sq.m and occupying the entire top floor of the hotel. The larger of the two halls — Djanam Sky Club — is an innovative restaurant that seamlessly transforms into a club with a DJ, a performance stage and various programmes. Its interior is inspired by the culture of bullfighting, red capes and Spanish bull breeds. With plenty of wood, black iron, dynamic lighting and red accents, the large scale of the space is turned into a cosy setting with a panoramic view of Vitosha. Fire is at the heart of the concept for the smaller hall.
Combined with natural materials — solid walnut and stone — contrasting with black lacobel and thousands of crystals with discreet lighting, the Premium hall offers a boutique steakhouse experience with a view over central Sofia. Despite their different visions and moods, the two spaces are united by key elements. The metal ceiling with an oriental motif, concealing the entire HVAC installation, dominates both halls. Leather and wood bring softness and luxury to the furnishings, while red flowers and stylised bulls add distinctive accents.
